Is there a better way of making it change from the normal ore to the mined ore other than setting events for every tile of the mined ore image with a condition to a switch, and making that switch go off when you press space next to the ore?
I don't know, that's the beauty of RM, you can twist your mind around it and try to create new systems. But I would recommend you to use the LOCAL SWITCHES. It's the easier way, and you will avoid lots of headaches too.
if by local switches you mean self switches, how would I make all 6 tiles needed for the ore image into one event with self switches?
